catkins

Catkins, Katjes ('small cats') in Dutch. This photograph gave me great difficulty. The autofocus would not focus on the catkins most of the time, so I attempted manual focus. At a distance of 20 centimeters, the field of depth is problematic, especially without a tripod. I set the aperture to f/8 (this is as far as it will go on manual). Sometimes a cloud would get in front of the sun, playing havoc with my shutterspeed. Did I mention that catkins are very light and move at the slightest sigh of wind?
